According to several studies, an excessive consumption has a relation with obesity; and it could also influence the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.consumer.es\/web\/es\/salud\/psicologia\/2006\/04\/27\/151350.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0central nervous system<\/a>. Why has this extra amount of hidden sugar been used in processed food?<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Sugar is present in a lot of packing food, under different names (glucose, sacarose, fructose, dextrose, corn syrup,&#8230;) It is a main ingredient of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/health-35880639\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">milkshake, juices, <\/a>porridge, bread, corn flakes,&#8230;.and also in sauces, snacks and lunchmeat.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/elpais.com\/elpais\/2015\/03\/04\/ciencia\/1425492900_302754.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The OMS recommend a quantity of sugar<\/a> of 50 daily grams for a man (it is 12 small teaspons). According to some experts, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/health-33551501\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this amount must be halved<\/a> until 5% of daily calories. As a packing juice has already 5 teaspoons each 15 ml, <a href=\"http:\/\/gastronomiaycia.republica.com\/2016\/05\/05\/el-azucar-que-ocultan-muchos-alimentos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a child could <\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/gastronomiaycia.republica.com\/2016\/05\/05\/el-azucar-que-ocultan-muchos-alimentos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">already<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/gastronomiaycia.republica.com\/2016\/05\/05\/el-azucar-que-ocultan-muchos-alimentos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> have consumed all the recommended sugar in his breakfast<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>Hidden sugar in food<\/h4>\n<p>&#8220;Hidden sugar&#8221; could be found in <strong>processed food<\/strong> in an amount which will surprise most consumers. Ice-cream, sauces like <strong>Ketchup<\/strong>, factored-baked cooks,&#8230; has a remarkable average of sugar, an economic ingredient which improves the taste of products.<\/p>\n<h4>Hidden sugar in soft drinks: industry is responding<\/h4>\n<p>Soft drinks normally contains high levels of &#8220;hidden sugar&#8221;, as it is referred in the <strong>label. <\/strong>In the case of Cola soft drinks, sugar could reach the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/magazine-35831125\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">35 grames in a can<\/a>, the equivalence of 9 teaspoons; 23 grams in orange taste drinks. According to the study<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC4519110\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Potential Effect of Physical Activity Calorie Equivalent (PACE) Labeling on Adult Fast Food Ordering and Exercise,<\/a> if including this information the consume of this kind of caloric food will be dramatically reduced.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Sugar taxes<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;Hidden sugar&#8221; and soft sugar drinks have caught\u00a0the attention of several countries, and politicians are deciding how to\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">establish<\/span>\u00a0a tax to reduce its consumption.
